When I first restored Le Casine di Castello, my deepest wish was to offer an intimate, flexible retreat inside our village walls. Unlike a hotel with impersonal hallways, this historic town house is divided into two self-contained apartments that can be enjoyed individually or united as an expansive private residence.
Children can play safely through the pedestrian stone alleys of Castelmuzio while parents linger on the private terrace with fresh bread from the village baker and olive oil from our nearby groves. Every room has been furnished with antique Tuscan pieces, soft linen sheets, and modern comforts to make you feel immediately at home.
Whether you are planning an extended family holiday, traveling with close friends, or seeking a quiet writers' haven, I look forward to welcoming you at our front door and introducing you to our beloved hilltop community.

When preparing Le Casine di Castello, my wish was to preserve the ancient soul of our village town house while ensuring you never find yourself wishing for a single convenience. The thick stone architecture provides a natural retreat from the midday sun, accompanied by silent ceiling fans in every bedroom that catch the gentle afternoon breezes lifting from the Val d'Orcia valley below.
In each bathroom, you will find generous bottles of Locherber Milano botanical bath products, alongside proper, dependable hair dryers and fresh, sun-dried linens. To keep your stay relaxed and peaceful, discreet mid-week housekeeping is always included, allowing you to simply step out onto the private terrace with your morning coffee and leave the tidy details to us.
Whether you are working quietly or sharing photographs with family back home, reliable high-speed Wi-Fi covers every corner of the house and terrace. For longer journeys, you have private access to a free washing machine and traditional Italian drying racks. And when returning from evening wine tastings in Pienza or Montalcino, complimentary village parking is just a gentle two-minute stroll from our front archway.
